StarTech.com OS2 Single Mode Simplex Fiber Optic Cable connects 40G/100G networking equipment with precision-machined ceramic ferrules and UPC-polished ends. The bend insensitive fiber core with low refractive index layer minimizes light loss. LSZH jacket produces low smoke and toxic fume emission when exposed to fire.

This 5-meter OS2 Single Mode Simplex Fiber Optic Cable delivers optimal performance for 40G/100G network applications. With a core diameter of 9/125µm and UPC-polished LC and SC connectors, it achieves insertion loss of ≤0.3dB and return loss of ≥55dB. The bend insensitive fiber core supports complex installation environments with a loaded bend radius of just 10mm. The aramid-reinforced LSZH jacket (2mm diameter) provides low refractive index reflection and flame retardancy with low smoke and zero halogen emission, ideal for enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces. It supports wavelength range 1260-1625nm (CWDM-compatible), is backward compatible with OS1 networks, and complies with ITU-T G652.D/G657.A1 standards. Each cable is individually tested with included test report.
