This OS2 Single Mode Simplex fiber optic cable from StarTech.com is specifically engineered for high-performance network applications up to 100 Gbit/s. The cable features a 9µm core diameter and 125µm cladding diameter, compliant with ITU-T G652.D/G657.A1 standards. With UPC-polished LC connectors at both ends, the cable achieves insertion loss of ≤0.3dB and return loss of ≥55dB. The Bend Insensitive fiber core with low refractive index layer reduces light leakage and supports a bend radius of just 10mm under load. The LSZH (Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen) aramid-reinforced jacket (2mm diameter) makes this cable suitable for enclosed spaces, vehicles, and residential settings due to low smoke emission and absence of toxic gases during fire. It supports wavelength range of 1260-1625nm and is backward compatible with OS1 networks. Each cable is individually tested with included test report.
