The StarTech.com 1P6FFCN-USB-SERIAL is a professional USB to Null Modem Serial adapter cable measuring 2 meters in length. The cable features an FTDI FT232R chipset with maximum baud rate of 921.6 kbit/s and supports 7 or 8 data bits with 1 or 2 stop bits. The device provides Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air/8kV contact) and copper shielding against EMI/RFI interference. Pre-installed DB-9 screws can be replaced with included nuts for maximum compatibility. LED indicators for transmit/receive and USB connection provide real-time monitoring. COM retention ensures automatic reassignment of COM ports upon reconnection. Operating temperature range: -40°C to 80°C. Supports Windows 7+, macOS 10.15+, and Linux.
