The StarTech.com USB-C Hub is a versatile expansion hub providing two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-A ports, an RS-232 serial connector (FTDI chip), Gigabit Ethernet and 100W USB Power Delivery pass-through. The hub features an integrated 2ft USB-C host cable with attached USB-C to USB-A adapter for compatibility with both USB-A and USB-C computers. The Gigabit Ethernet controller supports IEEE 802.3u/ab standards, Wake-on-LAN, Jumbo Frames (up to 9000 bytes) and V-LAN tagging. The 100W Power Delivery 3.0 pass-through reserves 15W for the hub itself, leaving up to 85W available for laptop charging. The RS-232 serial adapter includes COM retention and LED indicators for USB Enumeration, Transmit and Receive monitoring. Overcurrent Protection prevents faulty USB devices from drawing excessive power. The hub is plug-and-play compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux.
