Technisch overzicht
The StarTech.com USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet NIC adapter (USB31000NDS) utilizes the ASIX AX88179 chipset for optimal network performance. With a single RJ45 Ethernet port, this adapter supports full Gigabit speeds (up to 1000 Mbps) when used with USB 3.0, unlike USB 2.0 adapters. The adapter is fully backward compatible with older USB versions, though speed will be limited by USB bus speed. The device features LED indicators for activity and cable connection. Broad operating system support is provided, including Windows (XP through 11), macOS (10.6 through 13.0), and Linux. Additional features include VLAN tagging, full duplex support, and IEEE 802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet). The device operates in temperature ranges of 0-50°C for operation and 0-70°C for storage. Certified with 2-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.
