De StarTech.com ST1000SPEX2 is een PCIe Gigabit Ethernet netwerkkaart voor servers en werkstations. Met ondersteuning voor 10/100/1000 Mbps, Wake-on-LAN, Jumbo Frames en Auto MDIX. De kaart heeft zowel full-profile als low-profile beugels voor flexibele installatie in verschillende systeemchassis.
De ST1000SPEX2 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet netwerkkaart biedt een 1-poorts RJ45 Ethernet interface met snelheden tot 1000 Mbit/s. Het apparaat is compliant met IEEE 802.3/u/ab normen en ondersteunt geavanceerde functies zoals 9K Jumbo Frames, VLAN-tagging en Wake-on-LAN voor netwerkactivering. De kaart maakt gebruik van de Realtek RTL8111E chipset en heeft LED-indicatoren voor activiteit en linkstatus. Het pakket bevat beide full-height en half-height (low-profile) installatiebeugels, waardoor het geschikt is voor zowel standaard als kleine vormfactor (SFF) servers en werkstations. De kaart ondersteunt volledige duplex communicatie en Auto MDIX voor automatische kabeloriëntatiepassing. Ondersteund worden Windows (2000 t/m 10), Linux en Mac OS X systemen.
