The NETGEAR M4250-16XF is a managed L2/L3 network switch specifically engineered for professional audio-visual over IP installations. With 16 SFP+ ports, this 1U rack-mounted switch delivers 320 Gbps switching capacity. The system supports PoE+ and Ultra90 PoE++ for powerful connected devices.
The M4250-16XF provides comprehensive L2/L3 switching capabilities with support for 4093 VLANs, link aggregation, Spanning Tree Protocol and broadcast storm control. The switch features advanced security functions including ACL (Access Control List), SSH/SSL support, DHCP snooping and MAC-based authentication with RADIUS support. Processing throughput reaches 238.08 Mpps with extremely low latency (1.274 µs at 1 Gbps, 0.811 µs at 10 Gbps). The system supports jumbo frames up to 12000 bytes and includes 16 MB packet buffer memory. Console connectivity is provided via RJ-45 or USB Type-C. All M4250 switches feature a common L2/L3 processing engine and can be optionally licensed for Audio Video Bridging (AVB) support. Pre-configured AV profiles include Dante, Q-SYS, AES67 for audio and NVX, SVSI, NDI for video applications.
