Productomschrijving
StarTech.com OM5 fiber optic cable LC/LC (UPC) 3 meters for advanced 40G/100G fiber networks. The cable supports SWDM (850-953nm VCSEL) with extended wavelength range for superior performance compared to OM4. Features LSZH jacket for safety in poorly ventilated spaces. UPC-polished ends, ceramic ferrules, and aramid reinforcement.
Technisch overzicht
This OM5 LOMMF fiber optic cable is engineered for optimal performance in advanced fiber networks. The cable supports 40Gbps and 100Gbps applications with SWDM (Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing) across the extended wavelength range of 850-953nm for VCSEL sources. The 50/125µm core is backward compatible with OM4 and OM3 networks. Precision-manufactured ceramic ferrules ensure proper fiber alignment and minimal insertion loss. LC/LC UPC-polished ends provide superior return loss characteristics compared to older PC polishing techniques. The LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) flame-retardant jacket reduces smoke and toxic fumes when exposed to extreme heat. The cable features a loaded bend radius of 6cm and unloaded 3cm with aramid reinforcement. Individually tested for insertion loss meeting TIA/EIA-568 standards. Temperature range -20 to 60°C.
