The Broadcom CVPM05 is a cache protection module that protects cached data in RAID controller cards. Using CacheVault technology and supercapacitor technology, data is automatically transferred to NAND flash upon power loss, without requiring battery replacement.

The Broadcom CVPM05 Cache protection module provides advanced data protection for RAID controller cards. When power loss occurs, CacheVault technology stores all cached data in non-volatile flash memory. This prevents data loss and ensures the integrity of your data. The module uses supercapacitor technology instead of lithium-ion batteries, which reduces maintenance costs and lowers total cost of ownership (TCO). Compatible with Broadcom MegaRAID 9460 and 9480 series controllers. The technology enables RAID caching to significantly improve I/O performance by writing data to the controller cache before it is written to disk.
