The BCM5720-2P is a 13th-generation 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet LAN controller with two separate PCI Express functions. The device provides 17 receive and 16 transmit queues with 17 MSI-X vectors for flexible queue-to-vector association. This supports VMware NetQueue and Microsoft VMQ virtualization technologies. The network card includes advanced hardware features for IEEE 1588 and IEEE 802.1AS time synchronization, including high-precision clock, timestamp registers for received/transmitted packets, and programmable trigger inputs.
