This StarTech.com CAT8 Ethernet cable features 4-pair shielded twisted pair (S/FTP) construction with 26AWG pure bare copper wire for optimal conductivity and minimal signal loss. The cable delivers 2000MHz bandwidth, four times higher than CAT6a, and supports 10/25/40 Gigabit Ethernet speeds. With snagless 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 connectors and shielding using aluminum-mylar foil and tinned copper braid, this cable provides excellent EMI protection. The flexible LSZH jacket (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) is safe for poorly ventilated spaces and industrial environments and emits minimal toxic fumes in case of fire. The cable supports up to 100W Power over Ethernet (PoE++) per IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 and is Fluke Channel tested for guaranteed CAT8 performance. Rated for operating temperatures from 0-50°C.
